Passage explores passing the gift of creativity and tradition from one generation to the next. Mother and child are walking together, the child slightly ahead of the mother. Their hands are outstretched and there is a flame of creativity flowing from the mother's hand to the child's. The mother is gazing upon her child, whose gaze is upon the horizon, the future. Passage is outfitted with both fire effects and waterfall effects, and forty footprints mark their steps, trailing off behind them. Passage debuted in 2005 at Burning Man and enjoyed an 18 month installation at Pier 14, San Francisco, 2006 - 2007, and Seattle, 2008 - 2009.
